Passito IGT “Tramonto” 1997



Classification: Pasito Toscano I.G.T.

Production area: Gaiole in Chianti

Grapes: 40% Malvasia, 20% Trebbiano, 20% verdea, 20% Sangiovese

Vinification: The harvest takes place lately during the year, the grapes are overripe,

and wither directly in the vineyard.  

Once you have reached the perfect state of drying, we start pressing the grapes. The product obtained,

undergoes a first fermentation in a normal container of

stainless steel at controlled temperature. About halfway through the process, it is

transferred into 200lt barrels where, over the years, the product finalizes the fermentation.

Organoleptic characteristics: Intense golden color, tending to amber. On the nose : ethereal hints, among which notes of dried fruit (almond), honey and apricot stand out. Taste is a lot

persistent, full and balanced.

Alcohol content: 17% by volume

Producer’s advice: excellent dessert wine, dry desserts, blue cheeses

 or even alone
